Ultimate Sport Fishing- Coho

DAY 1 - Arrive Anchorage, Alaska
Arrive Anchorage, Alaska. Overnight hotel room and tax included. Explore Anchorage on your own as time allows. Unguided and meals at own expense.

DAY 2 - Alaska Coho Salmon Fishing
Travel to the Mat-Su valley with 3000 rivers, streams and lakes it is among
our favorite fishing spots. Natural fishing stocks have been returning at
a healthy rate to the Little Su river, Talkeetna river and Big Su river drainages. It offers a fishing extravaganza! The morning is spent dealing with tour orientation needs - Check in at overnight lodging, gear up for lunch and an afternoon remote fishing trip. Coho salmon fishing on the river in remote Alaska wilderness. (We’ll choose which river closer to time, whichever is the hottest!) Return early evening for dinner in a lakeside restaurant known for Alaskan fare. (L,D)

DAY 3 - Coho Salmon fishing/ Hatcher Pass
Another morning on the river for silver salmon fishing. The Little Susitna rushes from headwaters at Mint Glacier in the Talkeetna Mountains near Hatcher Pass, then slows and bends across the lowlands. From the air, the stream looks like a snake, with twisting hairpin turns that nearly double back. The lower river takes 28 miles to cover just 12 miles on the map. Those bends create deep, slow water where fish like to rest and anglers can concentrate their efforts. The number of fishing holes is anything
but limited. (Again, we monitor the catching conditions and go where the
fish are!)
Explore Hatcher Pass. Take a short nature walk and a tour of the Independence Gold Mine with sweeping views of tundra, jagged mountain peaks and valleys. Glimpse into goldmining’s past and even pan a little gold.
Dinner and overnight lodging in Wasilla. (B,L,D)

DAY 4 - Turnagain Arm / Seward / Ocean Coho Fishing
Today is a travel day. This morning we’ll travel along the Turnagain Arm,
stopping en route for wildlife viewing. Our destination is the costal town of
Seward.
Enjoy an afternoon of the Alaska’s best salt-water fishing in Seward. Fish
ocean fresh coho. Add to that, sights of abundant marine wildlife and massive tidewater glaciers. This time of year is abundant with silver salmon and higher catch limits.
Dinner and overnight Seward lodging. (B,L,D)

DAY 5 - Alaska Sealife Center / Sockeye Salmon on the Kenai River
Start the morning with a tour of the Alaska Sealife Center, a $56 million
project towards study and restoration of Alaska’s marine wildlife.
In the afternoon, take a drift boat charter on the upper Kenai for sockeye,
world-class trout and dolly varden fishing.
Dinner before returning to Seward overnight lodging. (B,L,D)

DAY 6 - Seward Halibut & Salmon Combo Charter
All day Combo Charter. Experience the thrill up pulling up the “Barn Door”. Halibut fishing at it’s best, ocean silver salmon, rock bass, and snapper along with scenic boat travel, and possible
marine wildlife viewing. The Orca, or killer whale, is one of many species
of marine mammal commonly seen while fishing. Dall porpoise, sea lions,
sea otters, and several other species of whales are often encountered. Also
seen are seabirds by the thousands.
Dinner and overnight Seward lodging. (B,L,D)

DAY 7 - Depart Anchorage. Alaska
Lunch in Anchorage and as time allows, last minute souvenir shopping and Anchorage attraction visits depending on individual flight times. (B,L)
Suggest flight departures of 3:00 pm or later.
