DAY 1 - Pickup at Cruise Docks / Alaska Sealife Center / Alaska Wildlife Center
Early morning pickup at Cruise dock by your Alaskan Tour Guides.
Visit the Alaska Sealife Center, a $56 million dollar project towards
study and restoration of Alaska’s marine wildlife. Live exhibits offer
and educational experience for all.
Travel takes us along the scenic Seward Highway and Turnagain
Arm. Several wildlife viewing possibilities exist in natural settings en
route and we take ample time to stop and observe.
Tour the Alaska Wildlife Center, an organization that cares for Alaska’s
orphaned or injured wildlife. Aside from showing this organization our
support, we think they offer a great close up look at some of Alaska’s
wildlife.
Dinner and overnight Wasilla lodging (L,D)

DAY 2 - Hatcher Pass / Knik Glacier Tour
Explore Hatcher Pass for a short nature walk and a tour of the Independence Gold mine with sweeping views of tundra, jagged mountain
peaks and valleys. Glimpse into gold-mining’s past.
Take an airboat ride to Knik Glacier to view crystal blue icebergs floating
quietly in the serene Knik Lake. You won’t find any crowds here - just
spectacular glacier viewing. A short stop at glacier camp (a gravel bar
across from the face of the glacier) allows opportunity to explore a little
terrain, watch for eagles overhead or sheep and bears on the mountainside. Beverages and light snacks are provided.
Dinner and overnight Wasilla lodging. (B,L,D)

DAY 3 -Salmon Fishing
5:00am Try your luck a Coho salmon fishing in the early morning.
A short fishing excursion would give you enough “fish Tales” for a lifetime. During season odds are high to catch lots of fish. Seasonal.
Afternoon “free time” - choice of relaxing, souvenir shop, short nature walk.
Early dinner and overnight Wasilla lodging. (B,L,D)

DAY 4 - Matanuska Glacier Trek / Late Anchorage departure
A scenic drive along the Matanuska River, through canyons and mountains, to the river’s point of origin, a massive glacier nestled in the mountains of high country. The Matanuska Glacier is one of the very
few in Alaska you can walk right up to and even hike on! Join in the Hidden Lakes trek, a guided trek that is a great introduction to glaciology,
geology and natural history.
Lunch, travel to Anchorage for departure. Activities and dinner depend
on flight times. (B,L)
Suggest flight departures for 5:00 pm or later.
