DAY 1 - Anchorage, Alaska
Arrive Anchorage, Alaska. Overnight in Anchorage hotel room and tax included. Explore Anchorage on your own as time allows. Unguided
and meals at own expense.
DAY 2 - Talkeetna / Flightsee Denali / Denali
Pickup and greeted by Alaskan Tour Guides to begin travelling north to Denali.
En route visit the frontier town of Talkeetna, a little town with lots of Alaskan flavor of quaint diners, artists shops and quirky museums, along
with some of the best views of Denali.
Flightsee Denali - Fly over lush valleys and enter the Ice Age world of the Alaska Range through the great gorge; fly deeper into the park over massive glaciers and wind-sculptured ridges for the best views of remote regions of the park.

DAY 3 - Denali National Park & Preserve / Nenana Whitewater Rafting
Denali exemplifies interior Alaska’s character as one of the world’s last great frontiers for wilderness adventure. Today’s highlights are the amazing scenic and wildlife viewing in the park.
Exciting Nenana River rafting, enjoy the popular Canyon Run, a journey of 11 miles through Denali Park frontier on exciting class III
to IV water.

DAY 4 - Sled Dog Kennel tour
South from Denali to Willow, the heart of mushing country. Tour a veteran Iditarod mushers kennel, learn about the 1150 mile sled dog race to Nome, the sport of mushing and the life of a musher. Visit with the sled dogs and the teams newest members, the puppies. Enjoy a short ride in a wheeled cart behind a team of sled dogs.

DAY 5 - Alaska Salmon Fishing
5:00am Experienced fishing guides take you to some of their favorite fishing holes to fish for the legendary Alaska salmon. You don’t have to be interested in fishing to enjoy this spectacular adventure. **Species and fishing subject to the time of year.
Afternoon “free time” - choose to relax, souvenir shop, or take a short nature walk.

DAY 6 - Lion’s Head Whitewater Rafting / Matanuska Glacier Trek
A full day trip that begins a scenic drive along the Matanuska River, through canyons and mountains, to the river’s point of origin, a massive glacier nestled in the mountains of high country. The Matanuska Glacier is one of the very few in Alaska you can walk right up to and even hike on! Join in the Ice Fall trek, a 3 hour guided trek that is a great introduction to glaciology, geology and natural history. Raft Lion’s Head, which begins near the face of the glacier where the flow is squeezed through canyon walls creating several miles of great fun. Hold on for the ride through Class III and IV whitewater - excellent for first timer’s trip!

DAY 7 - Knik Glacier / Hatcher Pass
Experience a boat ride up the Knik river basin to the face of Knik Glacier. This remote location brings you to a serene lake at the face
of the glacier where you’ll pass in front of one of the most beautiful places. You won’t find any crowds here - just spectacular glacier viewing. A
short stop at glacier camp (a gravel bar across from the face of the glacier) allows opportunity to explore a little terrain, watch for eagles overhead,
or sheep and bears on the mountainside. Beverages and light snacks are provided.
Explore Hatcher Pass. Take a short nature walk and a tour of the Independence Gold mine with sweeping views of tundra, jagged mountain
peaks and valleys. Glimpse into goldmining’s past and even pan a little gold.

DAY 8 - Turnagain Arm / Alaska Wildlife Center / Sea Kayaking
Scenic travel along the Seward Highway and Turnagain Arm on the way to the coastal town of Seward. There are several wildlife viewing
possibilities en route.
Tour the Alaska Wildlife Center, an organization dedicated to caring for Alaska’s orphaned or injured wildlife. See moose, bear, bison and
other rescued wildlife.
Embark on a sea kayaking excursion to explore Resurrection Bay. Paddle by sculpted cliffs, observe various signs of sealife and enjoy nature
in one of the most beautiful settings on earth.

DAY 9 - Alaska Sealife Center / Kenai Fjords Wildlife and Glacier Cruise
Tour of the Alaska Sealife Center, a $56 million project towards study and restoration of Alaska’s marine wildlife.
Cruise the Kenai Fjords National Park to see abundant marine animal and bird life along with tidewater glaciers and Seward’s scenic coastal
line. See otters, sea lions, eagles and other marine bird life. Watch for whales and calving glaciers. Beautiful coastline scenery of temperate rain forests, sculpted cliffs and protected coves with long pebble beaches.

DAY 10 - Alyeska Tram / Depart Anchorage, Alaska
Take a tram ride to the top of Mt. Alyeska, weather permitting - exceptional views and possible wildlife viewing. As time allows, last minute souvenir shopping and Anchorage attraction visits depending on
individual flight times. Departures recommended after 3 pm. (B,L)
